Pigment responds well to the right light, and badly to the wrong one. Which is why assessment comes before booking.
Does any of this sound familiar?
Sun spots on cheeks, chest and hands
Patchy tone that foundation has to correct
Redness that has become permanent
Marks left behind after spots heal
Not all pigment is the same pigment.
Sun-related spots, hormonal pigmentation and post-inflammatory marks look similar and behave completely differently under light-based treatment.
Treating hormonal pigmentation as if it were sun damage can make it worse. This is the main reason we assess first.
What can help
Which of these suits you — and in what order — is decided in person, not from this page.
When the answer is no
If your pigmentation is hormonal and currently active, light-based treatment may worsen it. In that case we treat differently, or not yet.
